first_imgWhilw there has been any number of tablet devices being announced and launched over the last few weeks, Gigabyte has been quietly working in the background and have now staked their own small claim to fame by announcing a 10.1-inch (1024×600) multi-touch capacitive touchscreen slate PC: the S1080.The S1080 is packaged around Windows 7 and runs an Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor. For storage you have an SD card slot to bolster the rather impressive 320GB of storage, and for connectivity options you have three USB ports, Wireless (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth ) and a VGA port. The last bit seems a puzzling move by Gigabyte given that HDMI is featured on a lot of the latest tablet PC’s, though at least you can use the VGA port to connect up to a wide-range of projectors that are already on the market.AdChoices广告The S1080 is expected to be released next month for $300.Read more at the Gigabyte press release, via Engadgetlast_img read more
