(Photo courtesy Options for Learning)[Please note: This event which is not open to the general public and is only open to human service organizations that have pre-registered.]Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek will be passing out turkeys at 7 a.m. Saturday when Ralphs and Food 4 Less team up with the city for Operation Gobble Gobble.The turkeys will come with stuffing, canned vegetables, potatoes and pumpkin pie.The meals will be donated to 500 families.The event will conform to cornonavirus protocols.This marks the 16th year that the city has fed local families through Operation Gobble Gobble.Since 2004, more than 9,000 families have received a Thanksgiving meal from the city.This Thanksgiving, Ralphs and Food 4 Less will donate nearly 2,000 turkey dinners and $150,000 to local community organizations working to end hunger as part of the company’s Zero Waste/Zero Hunger Initiative.
