University of GeorgiaFor the growing number of people who raise goats in theSoutheast, the eighth annual Goat-a-Rama will be an excitingevent near Tennille, Ga., April 3.The event will offer demonstrations on goat care, farm safety andcooking, along with a youth show-goat clinic, a trade show andsix educational seminars. Spaces will be provided, for a smallfee, for private-treaty goat sales.A “smart drenching” lecture and Famancha worm-identificationworkshop will be offered for a $30 fee. Preregistration isrequired.The Goat-a-Rama will be at the Washington County Farm Bureau AgCenter at 882 Grady Mertz Road southeast of Tennille. Admissionis free, and door prizes will be given.
