first_imgGardai at the scene of the raid of the petrol station at Glencar in Letterkenny earlier this week.A MAN has appeared in court charged in connection with a hold-up at a petrol filling station in Letterkenny earlier this week.Dean Kelly, from 92 Glenwood in Letterkenny, appeared before a sitting of Ballyshannon District Court this morning. first_imgThis is the dramatic video footage just moments after a Donegal man was plucked from the sea to safety.The lobster fisherman was rescued after Inishowen sheep farmer John Grant heard his cry for help while tending to his sheep at Tullagh Bay. The circumstances surrounding the rescue are even more amazing considering the man was an estimated half a mile out to sea clinging to a lobster buoy.John Grant contacted Malin Head radio station who set in motion a chain of events which saw the man’s rescue.The Lough Swilly RNLI footage shows the man being taken from a civilian boat to the Lough Swilly RNLI lifeboat before being taken ashore.The rescue 118 helicopter then takes the man from Tullagh Beach to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry for treatment.
