For Michigan, that means a chance to move past last week’s disappointing loss at Notre Dame.The Wolverines entered that one as a slight favorite on the road in the meeting of ranked rivals. The Wolverines offense never had an answer for the Fighting Irish defense, and struggled en route to a 24-17 loss.Western Michigan hosted one of the wackier games of Week 1. After falling behind 34-7 in the second quarter to Syracuse, the Broncos battled all the way back in the third to cut the Orange lead to 34-28.
