Morocco Oil Prices Go up Starting March 1

Rabat – The Moroccan Ministry of Corporate Affairs announced a slight increase in the prices of petroleum products starting on Sunday, March 1.According to a statement from the ministry, the price of diesel will increase by 51 cents to reach MAD 8.96 per liter, while the price of premium gasoline will increase by 34 cents, to be sold for MAD 9.88 per liter.After several months of decline, the prices at gas stations, which were already increased on February 16, will undergo a further increase starting on Sunday, March 1, announced the Ministry in a statement. After the government decided to stop the subsidy of oil products, fully effective on January 1, oil prices are liberalized, and have become subject to the fluctuations of the international oil market.
